The October Anthropologist is a network of social scientists specializing in navigating social and behavioral change. We are active in art /public education and innovation /design. We also write and publish books, articles in the mainstream and academic press, and blogs.

In our commercial practice, we have helped Fortune 500 companies solve their most complex challenges: from engaging immigrant housekeepers in the U.S. and Europe to designing autonomous vehicles for the future urban landscape of China.

We’ve answered challenges  such as:

– What is the future of “searching and finding” for the world’s largest online retailer?

– How can we position gaming by exploring how people around the world entertain themselves in their homes?

– How can a  €15 billion company create relevant digital services to address the impact of the shifting definition of employment?

Clients include Marriott, Amazon, Pepsi, LG, P&G, Johnson & Johnson, Sanofi, Hewlett Packard, Intercontinental Hotel Group, Sodexo, and Ford.

Commercial projects are under strict NDAs, so with the exception of the boutique hotel workers case study, if interested in our commercial practice, check out our podcasts and talks.
